Rare Coin & Currency Auction
Take a look at some of the highlights from our upcoming Currency & Coin Auction:
[US] 1907 High Relief Wire Edge $20 St. Gaudens
PCGS MS-62 MCMVII Regular Issue, High Relief Wire Rim. Quite Rare. With a mintage of 12,367, Q. David Bowers estimates that only 6000 exist. The mintage was limited because the mint discovered that it took 3 strikes to fully impress the details. The motto “In God We Trust” was left off due to President Theodore Roosevelt’s personal request. The coin here seems accurately grade with marks appropriate to the grade. Don’t miss the chance to add this coin to your collection as it is essential to any complete US Gold Type Collection.
[US] 1881 Coronet $10 Gold Eagle
PCGS Proof-61 Cameo. David Akers and PCGS estimates only 12+ survivors from an original mintage of 42, and this is the newest addition to the census. Only 8 have been graded at both PCGS and NGC and this is the only 61-Cameo. Beautiful mirror fields.
