Meet the Team

Matt graduated from Syracuse in 2005 with a degree in Information Studies. He oversaw the creation of the online bidding platform Alex Cooper’s website, app, computer systems, and software. He plays a prominent role at Alex Cooper as a Partner, “CIO” Director of Technology and a 4th Generation Cooper. In his position, Matt oversees agents and transactions, as well as acting as the main point of contact for clients. He predominately handles commercial and multi-family properties, with specific expertise in the Maryland and D.C Metro area. Matt received his broker license in Maryland and Washington D.C and has received multiple Power Broker awards from Co-star. Matt’s areas of expertise include real estate sales, technology and management. Matt has lived in Baltimore his whole life and is married with 3 Kids and 2 Dogs.

Larry acquired his Real Estate License in Marlyand and Washington D.C, and his Auctioneers license in D.C, West Virginia and Maryland. Larry has been involved in every aspect of the business since 1979 and is a 3rd generation Cooper. In his senior leadership position at Alex Cooper, Larry works with the marketing of antiques, leads up the email marketing initiatives, builds out contact lists, and contributes his vast knowledge of the rug industry to Alex Cooper. Larry has 40 years of auction experience including RE multifamily, residential, foreclosures, antiques, fine art and collectable auctions. In addition to auctions, Larry specializes in marketing and customer management. In his personal life, Larry has been married for 37 years, and has 2 children both of whom work at Alex Cooper. He has lived in Baltimore his whole life, loves playing golf, traveling to Florida, and cheering for the Baltimore Ravens.

Carley graduated from Stevenson University in 2011, with a degree in Photography and human services. She specializes in Baltimore City residential tenant occupied properties, and investment properties. Carley is heavily involved in the auctioning process in both Real Estate and Antiques, and handles pre-auction responsibilities such as researching property histories, contracts, deeds, property values and more. Along with these areas of expertise, Carley also specializes in photography. She began working at Alex Cooper in the photography department part-time during college. Carley is a 4th generation Cooper, and in her personal life she enjoys hiking, knitting, collecting crystals and playing with her recently rescued dog named Fiona Apple.

Paul has spent a lifetime in the auction business. Shortly after graduating from Georgetown University’s Business School, he passed the CPA exam. Since then he has focused his time on expanding all aspects of Alex Cooper. In addition to being a licensed Realtor, he also has a certified general license for real estate appraising. Paul is an expert in the field of real estate having participated in thousands of commercial, multi-family, industrial and residential auction sales throughout Maryland and Washington DC over the course of 40+ years. In addition, a major focus of his is expanding Alex Cooper’s fine arts auctions. When he is not working hard to improve business, you will find him spending time with his family, on the golf course, or traveling.

In 1952, Joseph joined his father in the family business. Since then, he has continued the family tradition for the past 60 years and counting. The third generation which includes Brian Cooper, Larry Cooper and Paul Cooper preserves the tradition by mentoring the fourth generation.

Jared is a licensed realtor in Maryland and Washington D.C. Since 2004, Jared has successfully assisted sellers with auctions and traditional sales for both residential and commercial property exceeding $100 million. His lists of clients include individuals, estates, attorneys, government entities, and various banking institutions. Born and raised in Baltimore County, and a former DC resident, Jared offers a unique knowledge of the greater Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area including the Eastern Shore and Northern Virginia. Jared’s success is attributed to his commitment and dedication to his clients as well as his ability to execute on each listing.

Scott’s areas of expertise consist of residential and commercial real estate auctions in Maryland and D.C. He has worked at Alex Cooper for 16 years and has been a part of over 600 successful real estate auctions. Scott has an extremely strong work ethic and is tremendously passionate about his career.
